Girl Scouts

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is the ideal place to earn Girl Scout badges!

Does your Girl Scout enjoy playing with LEGO® sets? Now there is a chance for her to play with LEGO bricks while earning a Girl Scout badge.

Each Badge Workshop:

  • Focuses on being “girl led”
  • Allows the girls to earn their badges in an open ended, collaborative environment
  • Promotes confidence and builds character

In addition to earning a badge, each girl scout will also receive one LEGOLAND® Discovery Center iron-on patch. 

Workshops at LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Zinni Petal

Girl Scout Level: Daisy.
Program Fee: $12 per girl scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 45 minutes.

Girl Scout’s that do Zinni’s workshop will know how to be considerate and caring, just like Zinni and Zinnia. The girls will read Zinni’s story and do build activities to come up with ideas like Zinni all while practicing being considerate and caring. This workshop will give your Girl Scouts an understanding of how to treat their fellow girls with care!

Sunny Petal

Girl Scout Level: Daisy.
Program Fee: $12 per girl scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 45 minutes.

Girl Scout’s that do Sunny’s workshop will know how to be friendly and helpful, just like Lupe and Lupine. The girls will read Sunny’s story and do a mural build activity based on Sunny’s story all while practicing being friendly and helpful. This workshop will give your Girl Scouts an understanding of how to give a helping hand to their fellow girls!

Inventor Badge

Girl Scout Level: Brownie.
Program Fee: $12 per girl scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1 hour.

In this workshop, Girl Scouts will invent a clever solution to a problem we face in our world. They will then make a prototype of their invention out of LEGO® bricks! The girls will be challenged to think critically and work together to find solutions for some of today’s biggest issues. By taking this workshop, Girl Scouts will be able to step into the mind of an inventor!

Product Designer Badge

Girl Scout Level: Junior.
Program Fee: $20 per girl scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1 hour.

If your Girl Scout enjoys playing with LEGO® Friends sets, they will love earning their Product Design badge through this LEGO Friends oriented workshop. This workshop allows the girls to see what the work of a real LEGO Product Designer is like by showcasing what makes a great product. Towards the end of the workshop, the girls will have a chance to test their new skills by making their own LEGO Friends set that they get to take home with them! Designing your own LEGO Friends set is the perfect way to earn the Product Designer badge.

Digital Movie Maker Badge

Girl Scout Level: Cadette.
Program Fee: $20 per girl scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 20 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 3 hours.

Girl Scouts will become film producers for the day by making their own LEGO® Friends themed stop motion film and earning the Digital Movie Maker badge. The girls will become familiar with movie making techniques, scene and script development, and editing software. Sign up today and your Girl Scout will be a movie making pro in no time!

Comic Artist Badge

Girl Scout Level: Cadette.
Program Fee: $15 per girl scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 20 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 2 hours.

The comic strips Girl Scouts will be making in this workshop calls for intense creativity! The girls will make their own scenes using LEGO® Friends sets to snap photos for each frame of their comic. They will then edit each photo to make their visual story come to life! By the end of this workshop each girl will have created a unique piece of sequential art!

Cub Scouts

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is the ideal place to earn Cub Scout badges!

Does your Cub Scout enjoy playing with LEGO® bricks? Now there is a chance for him to play with LEGO bricks while earning a Cub Scout badge.

We have 6 workshops to choose from. Each workshop:

  • Challenges each scout mentally
  • Allows the boys to earn their badges in an open ended, collaborative environment
  • Promotes confidence and builds character

In addition to earning a badge, each Cub Scout will receive one LEGOLAND® Discovery Center iron-on patch and be able to experience the center’s main attractions before and after the workshop.

Make a Model Elective

Cub Scout Level: Tiger.
Program Fee: $13 per Cub Scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 30 minutes.
Included: LEGOLAND Scout Patch and mini model.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center has one of the best jobs to offer LEGO fans – being a model builder! We have many model builders at our site and their main job is to design, teach, and make LEGO creations. If you sign up to take the Make a Model workshop, your scout will learn to make one of the models the model builders have made and also get to take it home. Sign up today to meet the requirements for the Tiger Scout Make a Model Elective!

Make It Yourself Elective

Cub Scout Level: Wolf.
Program Fee: $11 per Cub Scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1 hour.
Included: LEGOLAND Scout Patch.

Making an invention sounds like a ton of work, but that surely is not always the case. The focus of the Make It Yourself Elective for Wolf Scouts is on simple inventions that society uses every day. We will learn about and make a bench fork, door stop, card holder, and then the scouts will have time to make their own useful invention. By taking this workshop, a Wolf Scout will meet requirements for his Make It Yourself Elective Badge.

Machine Power Elective

Cub Scout Level: Wolf.
Program Fee: $11 per Cub Scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1.5 hours.
Included: LEGOLAND Scout Patch.

Small machines have become widely used in today's society; therefore, having knowledge of how they work is a good thing to have. For Wolf Cub Scouts, LEGOLAND Discovery Center is offering a workshop to acquire such knowledge through a series of builds including making a wheelbarrow, a pulley system, and a windlass. Signing up for this workshop will allow the scouts to meet each requirement for their Machine Power Elective.

Space Elective

Cub Scout Level: Bear.
Program Fee: $11 per Cub Scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1 hour.
Included: LEGOLAND Scout Patch.

Outer space can seem a little big sometimes, but LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s Space workshop for Bear Cub Scouts makes it easier to grasp by asking the scouts to turn the big concepts they learn about into small LEGO creations. In this workshop, scouts will learn about constellations and make their own, build a rocket that they get to take home, and discuss planets and satellites.

Build a Model Achievement

Cub Scout Level: Bear.
Program Fee: $13 per Cub Scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1 hour.
Included: LEGOLAND Scout Patch and mini model.

Here at LEGOLAND Discovery Center we know all about model building. Now is your chance to get in on the action! Sign your Cub Scout up for the Build a Model workshop and by the end they will meet each requirement for the Build a Model Achievement. In the workshop your scout will make a model from a kit that they get to take home, build a display for their model, and understand the three parts of the character connection for resourcefulness.

Engineer Activity Badge

Cub Scout Level: Webelos.
Program Fee: $11 per Cub Scout.
Group Size Limits: 10 minimum | 25 maximum.
Length of Workshop: 1.5 hours.
Included: LEGOLAND Scout Patch.

When your scout partakes in the Engineer workshop for Webelos, he will learn about DC and AC power, bridge construction, simple crane movement using a block and tackle, and make a working catapult. Your scout will begin the dive into many aspects of engineering all while completing the second half of the Engineer Webelo Activity Badge.

Important Information

  • Be sure to read the Overnight Adventure FAQ for full details
  • Overnights are for children 6 - 12 years old
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Each child must have a completed Child Release Form
  • The maximum capacity for an Overnight is 70 guests
  • To host a private Overnight you must have 50 -70 guests (contact a representative for more details)
  • If a minimum of 30 participants is not reached the event will be cancelled
  • One (1) adult chaperone is required for every five (5) children

Making a Reservation

  1. Reservations are on a first-come/first-served basis
  2. Call or email the sales office for available dates and request a registration form
  3. Complete the registration form and return it within 2 weeks
  4. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due 30 days prior to the event
  5. Final details, headcount and full payment is due seven (7) days prior to the event
  6. Cash payments and personal checks are not accepted
