Is your company or department in need of forming stronger relationships within the organization or team? Want to develop your team’s leadership and communication skills? LEGOLAND Discovery Center is the place to learn these skills in a fun, creative and engaging atmosphere.
Your visit begins with a tour of MINILAND Chicago and Jungle Expedition, a journey on Kingdom Quest Laser Ride, and our 4D movie, The Adventures of Clutch Powers. After, you will gather in the Model Builder Workshop where you will participate in LEGO building workshops with your fellow peers.
Teambuilding Workshops can be held Monday – Friday between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Catering options are available.
Please note a minimum of 10 participants is required and we ask bookings to be made 30 days in advance to ensure you avoid any disappointment.
The workshop will begin with an instructional build of a small model giving participants time to ease into the tricks and techniques of LEGO® building. Each participant will be able to take this model home with them as a souvenir.
Learn the importance of listening as well as directing and working with fellow colleagues. Participants are put into pairs and are challenged to create their own LEGO model, keeping it obscured from their partner as they build. Once participants have their models completed they will use only verbal instructions to lead their partner in creating the exact replica of the LEGO model he/she has created.
Learn the importance of teamwork and communication as your team tries to build a sturdy bridge. Each team will have to reach a common goal while testing their architectural design to see if their bridge can withstand the weight of additional objects.

I just took my 12 year old son and his friends to Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg and they loved it. Their favorite thing to do seemed to enter the building contests. The kids were invited to build things like ""Your favorite Cartoon Character"" and a time for judging. Then upon judging the LegoLand staff member talked to each kid about what they built and awarded a winner. This was a hit with the boys!
