Some say the Dallas/Fort Worth area offers the best shopping you can find, so whether it’s souvenirs, kitting out the kids or treating yourself to something new, shopping is one of the must-do things to do in Dallas/Fort Worth.
From the Milan inspired Galleria Dallas, with its infamous ice rink, to over 200 stores under one roof at Grapevine Mills, the shopping malls are the best place to start. Keep an eye out for Farmer’s markets and Flea markets for unique finds too.
The Great Wolf Lodge is one of the top family attractions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The 84 degree indoor water park offers an array of pools and water slides, including Howlin Tornado™ and a 4-storey interactive tree-house, to keep the kids occupied with plenty of things to do. Outside the pool, attractions at Great Wolf Lodge include arcades, MagiQuest® and XD Theater.
Make the most of the chance to get up close and personal with the underwater world at SEALIFE Aquarium Grapevine.
With more than 5,000 creatures in 30 incredible displays, spend an afternoon with the family making new friends with those who live underneath the sea! With plenty of things to do with the kids, including a soft play area and 360 degree Underwater Ocean Tunnel, SEALIFE Aquarium will fast become a family favourite attraction for Dallas locals and visitors alike.
As the official hotel of the Dallas Cowboys, the Gaylord Texan oozes Texan charm and the stand-out glass atriums make the Dallas/Fort Worth attraction hard to miss.
The entertainment center offers dining and shopping options amongst four and a half acres of indoor gardens and winding waterways, perfect for spending an evening together after a fun-filled family day of activites.
This is the 2nd year we're enjoying all the benefits that come with the lil' green annual pass. You definitely get your money's worth if you live close by - especially if you purchase online. :) Our 5 year old loves the Miniland, the movies, Ranger Pursuit, and the various size building ""sandboxes"" where he has all the bricks at his disposal. The annual pass lets you come and go whenever you want, bypassing the line every time. You get to participate in all the themed activities LDC has throughout the year. You also get a nice 10% discount in the shop and food court.
LDC does seem to work hard at maintaining and improving the facility. Last year's addition (Forest Ranger Pursuit) didn't disappoint. I am really looking forward to the next one. :)
