25 Participants will be randomly selected to participate in LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City's part of this record-breaking event.
Following a global vote to find the world’s favorite LEGO model the eight LEGOLAND Discovery Centers across the world, including Kansas City, are set to teach the world how to build a Christmas Train from the famous bricks.
The attractions are set to make Guinness World Record history as they bring together the largest number of people learning to build the same LEGO model across the world at any one time.
The record will be attempted on Thursday November 15, Guinness World Record Day, when the LEGOLAND Discovery Centers will hold a bumper day of model building as they attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the "largest toy construction lesson", or master model builder’s workshop.
The ten lessons will be held in Atlanta, Berlin, Chicago, Dallas, Duisberg, Kansas City, Manchester, Oberhausen and Tokyo and LEGOLAND Windsor for 30 mins at exactly the same time of day starting at 6am in Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City; 7am in Atlanta; while it will be 9pm on the other side of the world in Tokyo, Japan; 12 noon in Manchester and Windsor, UK and 1pm in Germany.
Following a global vote across the attraction’s social networks of over 68 thousand fans the favorite LEGO model chosen was an 82 brick, red and green, festive train.
LEGO fans across the world can register to take part in the Guinness World Record attempt online. Applicants will be randomly selected to take part in the Kansas City building class.
