[Yonkers, NY – May 2, 2014] – At what is sure to be one of the metropolitan area’s more unusual job interviews, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester is hosting an open call to area LEGO® enthusiasts to compete in “Brick Factor,” a two-day search to find the attraction’s next Master Model Builder, on Saturday, June 7, 2014 and Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Westchester’s Ridge Hill. Applicants from all over the tri-state area will demonstrate their skills in several rounds of creative LEGO challenges for a chance to win their dream job and a full-time salaried position as Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester.
This one of a kind audition aims to find the most skilled and creative model builder, who will be responsible for developing new features and exhibitions, building new models, as well as working with thousands of children and families expected to visit the attraction. Candidates interested in auditioning must apply in advance by visiting the attraction’s job listing website at https://suite.agile1.com/JBMerlin/Client/Skins/Merlin/default.aspx and filling out the online application. Applicants must be 18 years or older, and the deadline to apply is May 25, 2014.
During “Brick Factor,” candidates will be faced with millions of LEGO bricks when they arrive and must demonstrate their skills at creating LEGO models in a series of time-limited, creative LEGO challenges. A panel of judges will evaluate each candidate’s performance. By the end of the first day of auditions, the selected top builders will move on to the final stage of the competition. At the conclusion of the final audition, one candidate will be named the winner of the competition and awarded the title of Master Model Builder, a full-time salaried position at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester.
