The Empire Strikes Back at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester’s Adult Fans of LEGO® Night on October 3

27th September, 2013

Exclusive Evenings for Adult LEGO Fans Take Place First Thursday of Every Month

Coming off a force-filled weekend of Star Wars™Days at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester last month, the attraction continues its monthly Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFoL) Night with a Star Wars™ theme for the event on October 3 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (admission is from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) at Ridge Hill (One Ridge Hill Boulevard) in Yonkers. The monthly event is only open to adults (18 years and older) and allows guests to experience the attraction while enjoying special events and activities tailored to adults.

The adults only evenings take place the first Thursday of each month and feature tailored activities and events that Adult Fans of LEGO will enjoy. During the October 3 event guests will get to meet and share ideas with the attraction’s Master Model Builder and other fans and test their creativity and LEGO construction skills in a LEGO Star Wars™ Starfighter build competition. There will also be exciting Star Wars™-themed activities, including trivia, a build of a LEGO Star Wars™ Snowspeedor at the LEGO® Master Builder Academy, a lightsaber competition, a group build of a Yoga LEGO brick model and a scavenger hunt in MINILAND – which has been taken over by LEGO Star Wars™ featuring some of the most famous scenes from A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi that all Star Wars™ fans are sure to recognize.

The fun-filled evenings also include a cash bar with beer and select mixed drinks. Future AFoL events, which take place on the first Thursday of every month, will be developed around specific themes and feature special guests and exhibits.

Of course, guests will also get to enjoy the attraction’s range of interactive experiences, including its 4D cinema, two LEGO amusement rides and MINILAND – the venue’s signature re-creation of landmark locations and buildings throughout Westchester County and New York City, made entirely out of LEGO bricks.

Tickets to the adult evenings are available online at www.LEGOLANDDiscoveryCenter.com/Westchester for $18 (plus tax); and at the door the day of the event from 7-7:30 p.m. for $22 (plus tax). For more information, call 866-243-0770 or visit the evening’s Facebook event page at http://on.fb.me/14MKWJi
