NASA Engineer Kobie Boykins Visits

15th May, 2013

On Tuesday, May 14, NASA Engineer Kobie Boykin stopped by LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City during his visit to present at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

In partnership with the Kauffman Center and their National Geographic Live! series, Master Model Builder, Jeremiah Boehr greeted students and patrons and displayed our LEGO model of the Kauffman Center at the Center.

Jeremiah met NASA Engineer, Kobie Boykins, whose presentation centered on his involvement with the Mars Exploration Rovers.  Jeremiah created one of the rovers out of LEGO for Kobie.

In the afternoon, Kobie stopped by LEGOLAND Discovery Center to visit with field trip students about how members of his team use LEGO in their design process.  From LEGOLAND Discovery Center to Mars . . .

A great partnership that highlighted the wonderful connections between LEGO and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education!
