Birthday Parties

• You can now book your entire party online!
• Reservations must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Parties are offered during the following timeslots: Thursday-Friday 11am, 1pm, 3pm and Saturday & Sunday at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm
• Maximum Single Room capacity is 20 persons (or 40 persons when booking the Double Room package). This includes all adults, children and infants. Due to space limitations and building code requirements, we cannot allow additional guests to be present in the private party room for the event.
• Additional guest tickets will be available for purchase online or at the admissions counter for $15 each. These guests will not have access to the private rooms or party extras.
• Upon completion of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email from a member of our team.

Arrival Process:

• We recommend that you invite your guests to arrive at least 30 minutes before your reserved party time to allow time for check in before your party starts. 
• Upon arrival, please check in at the Admissions desk. You will be greeted by our admission host who will assist you with your check-in, attach wristbands to you and your guests, and sell any additional adult tickets you may need to purchase.
• You may play inside the attraction until your party time; the birthday host will meet you in front of the private party room, which is located in the coffee shop, at the start of your room time.

Party Room & Playtime:

• All party supplies will be included (plates, napkins, utensils, etc.). You are more than welcome to bring additional balloons & decorations for the party room but please note that we do not allow latex balloons & will not allow anything to be hung from the party room walls.
• Pizza and drinks will be served at the beginning of the party. Each person will get two slices of pizza.
  • Additional pizza or food is available for purchase from our cafe. Please purchase additional pizza prior to arrival or at the time of check in. 
• After pizza & drinks, your party host will complete an age appropriate LEGO build activity for you and your guests.
• Birthday Cake will not be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own to serve during the party. The party host will assist with cutting & passing out the cake after the LEGO build activity is completed.
• Once your time in the private party room is up, we can assist you with taking any items to your vehicle if needed. 
• You & your guests are then free to enjoy the Discovery Center for as long as you would like! Typically guests spend 2-3 hours in the center after their time in the room. Your party host does not remain with you during this time & any additional food or beverages will have to be purchased through our Coffee Shop.

Child Pick-up:

• If you wish, pick-up can take place in front of the Center in retail where you first arrived. Birthday parents generally communicate this to any parents who are just dropping off their children for the party.

Check-in process:

• We recommend having the majority of your group gathered together prior to checking in with the admission desk. If you have any emergencies, are running late, or just have questions you can contact our team at LDCWestchester.Birthdays@merlinentertainments.biz. If you are running late, we will do our best to accommodate your party in the time remaining, but we cannot extend your time in the private room past the allotted 75 minutes. If some of your guests arrive late, one of our party hosts will do their best to escort all late guests to the party room.

What to bring:

• Guest List: We ask all party parents to fill out a guest list to assist with our check-in process. This list will be sent to you via email along with your booking confirmation. No need to send us this in advance, you can bring this with you on the day of the event. Make sure everyone’s name is on the list who is coming to the party, this includes yourselves and the birthday child. If there are additional guests not on the list, and the room is not at capacity, they will need to purchase their ticket in Admissions.
• Order Confirmation: Please bring with you the email confirmation of your order, either printed or you can present this on your mobile device. Other than the above, no need to bring anything else. We’ll handle the rest!

Additional Party Food:

• We do not allow outside food in the Center and we cannot add additional food on the day of your party. All additional food orders will need to be placed 10 days in advance. Please send an email to LDCWestchester.Birthdays@merlinentertainments.biz for more info. Food can also be purchased in the Cafe à la carte on the day of the party, but please note that pizza availability may be limited.

Party Favors:

• Our guest experience hosts can help you pick out super awesome LEGO themed items from our LEGO Shop to include as party favors! Please visit our store prior to your party to select and purchase additional items.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How many people can I bring to my child's birthday party?

• Our private party rooms cannot exceed capacity of 20 guests, which includes adults & children. For larger parties of up to 40 guests, please choose our Double Room option. Additional adult tickets can be purchased for $15, but adults will have to rotate out of the party room if capacity exceeds 20/40.

Q: Can I purchase tickets for additional adults outside of the 20 (or 40 for double room package) in my party?

• Yes. There is a $15 ticket option for additional adults available when purchasing your party online or when you arrive at our admissions desk. This ticket gets the adult access to the Discovery Center only. Access to the private party room & cake, beverages, or food is not included. These individuals typically spend the first hour & 15 minutes in our Coffee Shop & join the party in the Discovery Center once the time in the private party room is up.

Q: Some of my guests have Annual Passes, are they still included in the 20?

• Any guests with Annual Passes are admitted to the Discovery Center for free, however, they will be included in the 20 guests in the private party room if they wish to be a part of the event. If they’d like to enter the Discovery Center but not join in the private room, they are welcome to do so. They could also join the party once your time in the private party room is up.

Q: What about guests under the age of 3?

• Any guest that will be present in the private party room for the first hour & 15 minutes will be included in the 20 persons total.

Q: Is outside food or catering allowed?

• No. Outside food or catering is not allowed for the safety of other guests in the Discovery Center. However, we do allow a birthday cake to be brought in for the party. We do have a Coffee Shop that serves sandwiches, pizza, and other snack foods for those that may be interested in additional food options or who have special dietary needs.

Q: Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

• We can accommodate special dietary needs with various offerings in our Coffee Shop. The pizza provided with the party, however, is not guaranteed to be allergen, dairy, or gluten-free. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know & we will work with you on a solution. We will allow you to bring in food for those guests with allergies.

Q: Can I order additional food for my party? 

• Yes, additional pizza can be ordered online at the time of your booking or over the phone & by e-mail up to 2 days prior to your visit. You can also purchase additional food options from our Coffee Shop when you arrive or after your time in the private party room.

Q: What does the theming for the party include?

• Theming includes private LEGO build activity, LEGO wall graphics, & colorful plates, napkins, cups, and utensils. If you would like to bring additional décor (tablecloths, balloons, etc.) you are more than welcome to, but we do not allow any adhesives on the party room walls.

Q: Can I see the party room prior to booking my party?

• Absolutely, we’d be happy to host you for a walk-through. We ask that you book this in advance with us by contacting LDCWestchester.Birthdays@merlinentertainments.biz.

Q: What is the build activity? Is it age appropriate?

• The build activity is a 15-30 minute themed group build that is hosted by the party host. Please inquire about additional build options for children that request a more simple build.

Q: Can I purchase additional party favors?

• Our guest experience hosts can help you pick out super awesome LEGO themed items from our LEGO Shop to include as party favors! Please visit our store prior to your party to select and purchase additional items.

Q: Will I have a party host to assist with my party the entire time I am in the attraction? 

• No. The dedicated party host is with your party during the 75 minutes you have in the private party room. This individual will also assist with any needs you may have before your party or as you are exiting the private party room. We recommend that you have at least 1 adult per 5 children while in the Discovery Center to help oversee children.

Q: Will my guests that arrive late have to get in line to enter the Center?

• No, we will have a designated area on the far right side of our admissions area for your party guests. If guests arrive late following the start of the party they may communicate with admissions staff for entry.

Q: Do you offer storage options during the party?

• Yes, we offer storage space during your time in the private party room. Once you exit the private party rooms, we can try to assist you with finding a table in the Coffee Shop to store your belongings or can assist with helping to carry items to your vehicle.

Q: Where do guests park? How much is parking?

• The North Otis Parking garage in Ridge Hill Mall is the closest to our entrance. At this time, parking is free for all Ridge Hill Mall guests until further notice. 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

• Rescheduling or cancelling an event must be confirmed with a LEGOLAND Discovery Center Representative by emailing

• Please note the following: Birthday Parties cancelled two weeks or more before the party date will be receive a full refund; Birthday Parties cancelled within 2 days of the party date may be rescheduled at no additional cost; Birthday Parties cancelled within 24 hours of the party date will not be refunded or rescheduled.
