You could become the Bay Area's Next Mini Master Model Builder!
Do you love building with LEGO® bricks and dreaming up creations? Are you between the ages of 5 and 12 years old? Have you dreamed of being a Master Model Builder some day? This contest is for you!
Bay Area kids are invited to build their way to be crowned the Bay Area's 2024 Mini-Master Model Builder!
The winning child will receive:
- Four (4) Annual passes
- Opportunities to meet and build with our Master Model Builder team
- An opportunity to represent the Bay Area and compete to be named the National Mini-Master Model Builder across all North American LEGOLAND Discovery Centers and LEGO Discovery Centers!
- Bragging rights
To be eligible for the Mini-Master Model Builder you must:
- Love LEGO products and building with LEGO
- Live in the Bay Area
- Be between the ages of 5-12 years old
- Have permission from parent or guardian
- Be able to participate in the in-person competition to be held on June 2, 2024 at LEGOLAND Discovery Center located in the Great Mall, Milpitas, CA.
You may be asked to help us talk about LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area to others including media stations around the Bay Area, classrooms, through social videos and more (all with the permission of a parent or guardian first of course). We want you to share all of the things that you love about the Center and help answer questions from other kids like you, from a kid perspective!
How to enter and win:
- Build your most creative space-themed build using LEGO bricks, from your own imagination (no sets)!
- Make sure not to include any licensed characters or scenes.
- There are no exact sizing requirements, but the build should be able to fit inside a shoebox.
- With your parent, fill out the form below and upload 2 photos
- photo of the build
- photo of you with the build
- Photos must be submitted no later than May 19th, 2024 at 11:59pm!
- Our Master Model Builder team will select 10 entries who will be asked to compete in the in-person event June 2, 2024!
- One winner will be chosen from those competing in the final round -- June 2nd!
The 10 finalists who will compete on June 2nd will receive:

- Free Admission for themselves and 2 family members (or friends)
- 50% off tickets for up to 4 more guests to watch
- A special prize just for participating
- The ability to stay and play inside LEGOLAND Discovery Center after the competition
Submissions will be judged by an internal panel and the winner will be announced on June 2nd, 2024! Then, they'll have an opportunity to represent the Bay Area and virtually compete for the title of the Mini Master Model Builder of North America!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
2024 Mini Master Model Builder
Eligibility: 2024 Mini Master Model Builder Contest is open only to those who share a LEGO build on the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area online form and who are ages 5-12 as of the date of entry, and are able to compete at the in-person competition if their online entry is selected. The national North American contest will require an additional LEGO build submitted directly to the Discovery Center. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Agreement to Rules: By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of LEGO® Discovery Centers and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centers, as final and binding as it relates to the content. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
Contest Period: First round, entries will be accepted starting on May 3rd, 2024 and ending May 19th, 2024. All entries must be received by 11:59pm PST May 19, 2024. Participants chosen from the first-round submissions will be selected to compete in-person at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area for the chance to be named, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area Mini Master Model Builder 2024. In-person competition will be held on or June 2nd, 2024.
How to Enter: The contest must be entered by submitting LEGO build using the provided eligibility format listed above. The entry must fulfill all sweepstakes requirements in the requested format, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center & LEGO® Discovery Centers North America. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center & LEGO® Discovery Centers North America.
Prizes: LEGOLAND® Discovery Center & LEGO® Discovery Centers will select one (1) LEGO Build with its child builder to be the local Mini Master Model Builder for the local LEGO/LEGOLAND Discovery Center. They will win four (4) LEGOLAND Discovery Center Bay Area annual passes.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center & LEGO® Discovery Centers will then select one (1) national LEGO Build with its child builder to be the National Mini Master Model Builder among the local Mini Master Model Builders new national LEGO build. They will win Elite Annual Passes for them and their family (up to 6 total immediate family members).
The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor's discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Travel and other expenses are not included with any of the winning prizes.
The odds of winning depend on number of entrants, buildability, creativity, and originality and age of builder will also be considered. The final winner will be chosen by the LEGOLAND® Discovery Center & LEGO® Discovery Centers Team and North American Master Model Builders.
Winner selection and notification: Finalists for the in-person competition will be selected under the supervision of the Sponsor and notified via email, or phone call on or before May 22, 2024. The local winner will be selected on June 2, 2024, and the national winner will be selected on or before July 31, 2024. LEGOLAND® Discovery Centers and LEGO® Discovery Centers shall have no liability for a winner's failure to receive notices due to winners' spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 5 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
The receipt by winner of the prize offered in this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT SPONSOR'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
